A human and authentic space to explore your thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
You will often sense whether a therapist is right for you, and finding a genuine connection is really important, and can play a key role in the overall success of counselling. So listening to your gut feeling will often lead you to the right place. My practice offers a relaxed and authentic space, and a therapeutic approach centred around respect, compassion and non-judgement, providing you with the opportunity to reflect on your thoughts, feelings or challenges you are experiencing.

About me and my practice
I have a passion for helping people and I know how important it is to be heard.
Life changing events, Grief, Bereavement, Relationship difficulties, Anxiety, Loss, change in routine, or Low Mood challenges can appear in our lives and can be hard to get on top of.
Talking to those closest to us is often not an option, or maybe not available to us, and sometimes, it can be better to seek the help of a professional who is impartial to your day to day life. Confidentiality is paramount, and the counselling space allows you to bring your thoughts and feelings and express them in total confidence.
Counselling offers a space, and a human connection to reflect on what's weighing you down, and can help to make sense of the thoughts and feelings we can get easily stuck in and consumed by.
Through my work at a local hospice, I specialise in supporting individuals through the challenges of grief and bereavement, whether this is anticipatory or following the loss of a loved one.
I also support people experiencing low mood, anxiety, low self/esteem, low confidence, stress, relationship difficulties and other life challenges. With life often running at full speed and pulling us in different directions, it's sometimes hard to slow down long enough to focus on ourselves and our needs, to tune into how we are really feeling and develop who we are and where we want to be.
Experience
I bring expertise and experience to my counselling practice, and hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and an Accredited Member of The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I also have extensive experience of working in a professional corporate setting and understand the stresses and pressures that individuals can face at work, which can bleed into our personal lives.

Initial Consultation
Firstly, we would begin with a free of charge, 20 minute discovery session, where we can discuss what has brought you to seek support, and determine if I am the right therapist to support you. It enables you to feel comfortable and provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions, and get a feel for the process.
Some people choose to start with a few sessions, while others choose to work on an open ended basis. This is something that is discussed and reviewed during the initial consultation and periodically reviewed throughout the process, and tailored to your specific needs.
Fees
Fees are £50 for a 50 minute session.
